“Places for Things” considers our relationship to the material world and a love for things; the specificity of the featured objects arises from their function as both tactile experiences, taking up space, and records of personal history. We curate the contents of our environments and create personal archives of memory and meaning through accumulation, attachment, and care. The woodcarvings, paintings, documentation, text, and objects featured in this exhibition reflect repeated processes of care and contemplation.
